Pick Your Own Apple Farms
Scott's Orchard

This year's first Pick Your Own Apples starts on Monday, September 2nd and goes through October 19th.

Details: During the fall apple season (September through December,) they offer lots of fall treats in addition to the large selection of apples and fresh cider. They also offer pick-your-own apples during select days in September and October. We recommend making a reservation to take advantage of any available discounts.

Isom's Orchard

Isom's Orchard in Athens, is in its fourth generation of growers. Wes Isom, current owner and farmer is proceeded by his grandfather, E.K, who started growing peaches before World War II, and his father, Joe, who established the fruit stand we know now in 1957.
Isom’s is a family business run by Wes, Marlene and children. Isom's will provide you with a wide variety of only the freshest and tastiest produce grown right on our farm!
Our season typically runs April (strawberries!) to Thanksgiving (apples!). They operate 7 days a week with an ever-changing inventory.

Crow Mountain Orchards

Details: Offers a variety of fruits including apples, peaches, blueberries and seedless grapes. You can check their calendar here. Around mid-September, you'll get to experience the orchard's famous apple cider, which is made every couple of days from their very own secret recipe. This delicious cider makes the orchard visit well worth it. Don't forget to grab yourself a gallon or two.

Russell Cave National Monument

Madison County Nature Trail

The Madison County Nature Trail is a beautiful family-friendly spot on top of Green Mountain. The trail surrounds Sky Lake so there are picturesque views from all around. It truly provides the perfect setting for nature lovers of all ages — whatever the season. It's only a 1.5-mile trail and there are many great spots to stop along the way. We went with our 6, 4 & almost 2-year-old and the kids did well! ( However, We stopped - A LOT)

Sand Mountain Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch - Opens September 16

Come see The Sand Mountain Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Sardis! They have cow train rides, wagon rides, pumpkin patch, corn maze, corn blasters, duck races, play barn, and a general store!!!
They offer many activities to make your fall day fun. Take part in some of these before, after, or instead of a trip through the corn maze! There is something for everyone, and every age! The whole place is a playground with Horse Swings, See-saws, Slides, and a Picnic Area.
They even have a Zombie Acpocolypse Paintball Activitity after dark for those brave souls!

The annual Fall Festival is filled with attractions, events, rides, and endless things to do. From the largest pumpkin patch in the Tennessee Valley to the fun-filled Corn Maze, there’s always something to do at Lyon Family Farms.

Festifall - September 2 - October 31, 2023
It’s harvest time, and nothing says FALL quite like Festifall at the Garden! Our two-month celebration of the changing seasons features pumpkins, scarecrows, campouts, nature hikes, and more. As the air turns crisp and the leaves begin to change color, there’s no better place to connect with nature and enjoy the beauty of autumn. The Scarecrow Trail is a family tradition featuring a bounty of fun, friendly scarecrows created by local community members. Wacky, whimsical, and wondrous, these are certainly not your average ‘crows! The pumpkins come out in October! You will find seasonal displays of locally-grown pumpkins throughout the Garden.
The historic 1949 Ford Tractor will be back this year, complete with its wooden-wheel flatbed wagon. Located in the Cedar Glade, this is a great spot for a picture-perfect fall family photo.
