Description
The Town of Gurley is sponsoring a Christmas Parade in Gurley.
Thhe Gurley Lioness Club has volunteered to coordinate the parade.
You and your group are invited to participate by making a float, driving a vehicle, riding horses, or walking in the parade, and you are welcome to pass this information on to anyone you know who would like to participate. This is an all-volunteer parade, so the more the merrier!! — in Gurley.
* We will gather behind Madison County Elementary School in the parking lot on the morning of Saturday, December 7th, at 9:30AM. PLEASE ENTER THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT THROUGH THE GURLEY PIKE ENTRANCE.
* We will see the Gurley Historic District, as we travel the streets of Joplin, Wood, College, Railroad and Gurley Pike, and we hope you will join us in giving the citizens of Gurley this special treat for Christmas.
* Please do not throw candy from the floats ... it is a danger for the children watching the parade. Walking group members are welcome to hand out the candy to the children, which will keep them away from the traffic.
