Lasting results don't come from an all-in-one gel stain application. Our process begins with chemically stripping the door down to the bare wood, followed by a thorough sanding in order get down to the bare wood of the door.
We will then go in with a stain that is not just a colorant but a preservative that helps protect the wood from the inside out. Then we spray an exterior sealer. This sealer is not only more flexible than other coatings, but it is also microporous allowing trapped moisture to escape, both of which will help prevent the finish from cracking and peeling.
Finally, we’ll apply a top coat of water-based finish that has UV inhibitors, which will protect your door for the sun during the hottest part of the summer and all year round!
