💡 The Spark Behind The Home Sparkl
Katrina graduated from the The University of Alabama were she met her husband of 12 years. They moved to Huntsville in 2013 for both their jobs.
Katrina was a teacher before taking on the "the hardest job [she] ever had - a full time mommy"! They have 3 children 2 girls and a boy! -Maddox- 10, Kate-8 and Ford- 4
As a stay-at-home mom, Katrina struggled with wanting to contribute financially while still being present for her kids. She dreamed of a platform where moms could use their natural talents to help other families—offering support while earning flexible income without the guilt.
On the flip side, as a mom of three, she often wished for just a little help herself—someone to tidy up, do a load of laundry, or organize a closet. Thus, The Home Sparkl was born: a space where women can help each other through small acts of service.

👩💼 A Day in the Life of a Mompreneur
Katrina describes her typical day as a constant juggle. She starts her mornings with coffee and school prep, followed by work tasks like emails, phone interviews with Sparklrs, meetings, and Zoom calls. Afternoons shift into full mom mode—school pickups, activities, and managing multiple schedules.
She often listens to business and marketing podcasts while driving her kids and ends the day catching up on work and reading something fun to unwind.
❤️ Most Rewarding Part of the Journey
Katrina finds deep fulfillment in knowing she’s helping moms earn extra income by using the skills they already have—while also making life easier for other moms in their communities.
⚖️ Balancing Business and Motherhood
One of Katrina’s biggest challenges is phone time. She’s constantly managing texts, emails, and social posts, and worries about setting the right example for her kids. Her solution? Boundaries. She keeps her phone on the charger from 5–8 p.m., prioritizes family dinners, and gives her kids at least 20 minutes of undivided attention daily.
