Veterans Day is held on Monday November 11, 2024 and to honor all the brave men & women that fought for our country's freedoms, there are several parades, programs and museum open houses to spend the day.
🇺🇸Veterans Day Program (Scottsboro) November 11, 2024
Jackson County’s annual Veteran’s Day program will be held in Scottsboro on Monday, Nov. 11.
The service will be hosted by VFW Post 6073 and American Legion Post 30 at Veterans Memorial Park.
The events will start with a monument dedication at 9:30 a.m. followed by the laying of the wreaths at the Honor Wall.
After the dedication, the VFW Post Home will serve light refreshments for all who attend. Veterans Memorial Park and the VFW Post home are located at 1616 Heroes Dr., Scottsboro, AL 35768.

The U.S. Veterans Memorial Museum cordially invites you to a celebration of your service and sacrifice to our nation. Please join us for refreshments, a tour of the museum, and a time to share your stories with those in attendance. Admission is free to all. Donations gladly accepted

Huntsville will honor all of our country's veterans with a grand Veterans Day Parade on November 11at 11 am in downtown Huntsville.

Free admission to any Alabama State Park!
The ‘Parks for Patriots’ statewide program grants free admission for veterans to Alabama State Parks.
To show appreciation for their service, Alabama State Parks would like to provide Veterans and active military with free admission to the parks that charge an entrance fee or day-use area fees. Park patrons can also voluntarily provide sponsorship donation contributions to help support this program. Your donation, combined with other sponsor contributions, will allow us to honor the men and women who have served our great country.
